WHAT WE DO

The Local Councils Association of – Baluchistan (LCA-B) was established in 2008 under, “The Societies Registration Act, 1860” as an independent and private association of the elected local government representatives. The Association, being a representative body of more than 42,000 elected councilors, aims to increase the effective participation of the councilors and citizens in local government planning, development and decision-making within the framework of participatory democracy and associative spirit.

She discussed importance of these laws for improving social functioning of women. She also informed women councilors regarding Dispute Resolution Councils (DRC), which is present in Pakistan since 2010. She urges women to utilise it and attain information through its field office

Local Councils Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held Training on Provincial Laws for Women with the collaboration of CLGF and support of EU.

Ms Khursheed Bano simplified the laws for women property rights, harassment at Workplace and domestic violence laws.
